Job Purpose:
 
This position is responsible for producing master production schedule for multiple plants and Lines, to ensure optimal output in accordance with inventory and customer needs.  Track and communicate order disposition and inventory with Customer Service, Sales and Logistics. Maintain all product structures including manufactured, distributed, and purchased items in SAP APO system.
 
Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Using SAP APO SNP to create and produce Master Production Schedule.
  • Responsible for determining and maintaining the optimal master production schedules to achieve maximum production efficiency and throughput
  • Do rough cut capacity analysis to make sure demand can be fulfilled.
  • Advise to management is capacity is not enough to fulfill the demand.
  • Work with manufacturing team to communicate necessary capacity requirements based on data regarding current sales trends and future sales forecasts.
  • Assure production plans are communicated and monitored to identify and/or communicate issues impacting production schedules; define and monitor corrective actions.
  • Release Master Production Schedule to Manufacturing and National Material Planning team.
  • Partner with National Material Planning team to ensure open communication regarding raw material needs and shortages.
  • Maintain optimal levels of vital inventories, balancing the need to maximize inventory turns with the need to maintain minimum stock levels.
  • Identify slow moving inventories and develop plans for disposition and waste reduction.
  • Make sure weekly Master Production schedule is release on time as agreed timeframe to manufacturing team.
  • Work closely with new product development to make sure all new product launch production plan is scheduled as agreed time frame
  • Coordinate with Logistic, Marketing, and Manufacturing to ensure new products are launched accordingly and obsolete products are handled efficiently
  • Work closely with project and engineering team to make sure all line overhaul, line dismantling, or new line installation or upgrades is inputted into master scheduling parameters
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain a good working relationship to ensure a smooth flow of scheduling and production functions.
  • Do weekly Master Production Schedule performance review (MIFOT)
  • Maintain system parameters, data and settings to ensure the various systems utilize accurate data
  • Maintain updated and accurate production rates that drive the production schedule attainment performance goals
  • Implementing continuous improvement projects that reduce overall lead time to the customer, which will also result in inventory reduction.
  • Identify area for improvement, develop improvement program and monitor the implementation to increase process efficiency, cost effectiveness, or increase productivity.
  • Prepare, monitor, control the annual department budget to ensure expenditure is in line with the Business Plan
  • Take responsibility for providing and managing a work environment that is safe and without risk to health by ensuring OHS policy, plans, procedures, induction, training and work instructions are followed. Ensure that hazard management including identification, assessment and control are undertaken.
 
Job Reqiurement
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Engineering (Industrial), Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics or equivalent.
  • At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Manager specialized in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
