Established in 1958, our client is an Asian multi-million dollar enterprise and a market leader in its home country, engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of industrial and household adhesives, epoxies, sealants, glues, specialty coatings, insulation, packaging and other products. Poised to expand its business in Indonesia in the areas of innovative specialty building systems, concrete repair systems and water proofing range, it now seeks to recruit a dynamic sales/business development professional to deliver sales, profit and brand growths, with a high concentration of time spent in the field, and assisting in the identification and launch of products into new market segments while also providing outstanding customer service to its clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and manage the selling, promotion and business development of company’s products and services to prospective customers across the real estate and property construction sectors in Indonesia, with the aim of achieving sales targets and emphasizing on high value/high volume accounts; lead the preparation and offer of tender project documents and seek ways to close deals through interaction with the highest level of approving authority.
  • Provide timely supply of necessary samples and price quotations with high levels of customer service through giving fast and efficient back up service to all customer inquiries and requests; achieve the highest margin possible by offering a combination of superior selling skills and provide outstanding customer service as a means of improving the company’s competitive advantage, while also aware of the company’s discount policies.
  • Manage and review all account receivables within agreed time frame and to take the necessary steps to ensure that all outstanding debts are collected within a reasonable time frame.
  • Identifies market and new product opportunities and carry out initiatives to reach the market; understands new market segments and imparts technical knowledge to R&D and Production teams.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with senior management; generate progress reports and presents to senior management business analysis and accurate sales projections.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership at every possible opportunity and cultivate fair and effective manager/subordinate relationships; conduct performance appraisals of subordinates by complying to Performance Management System policies and procedures; ensure safe working environment at project sites.
  • Identifies, reports, and acts on changes in market conditions, swings in market trends, and overall changes in the competitive landscape.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from a recognized university
  • Minimum of 6 years related experience, specifically in developing and managing high value B2B business with the construction and real estate/property sector.
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral; ability to relate and interact with the highest decision makers among target customers.
  • Other competencies: Computer, selling, negotiation, customer service, and presentation skills as well as management and leadership skills; a self-starter.
