Position Title: Project Clerk (CTLM)
Duty Station: Jakarta
Organizational Unit: Counter Trafficking & Labour Migration
Classification: General Service Staff, Grade G-3
Type of Appointment: One Year Fixed Term Contract, with possibility of extension (the first six months shall be considered as probation period).
Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible
Closing Date: 31 January 2018
I. Context
Under the direct supervision and overall guidance of the National Programme Coordinator (NPC), the incumbent will provide technical and administrative support for the implementation of IOM Indonesia’s Counter-trafficking and Labour Migration (CTLM) on-going projects.
II. Core Functions / Responsibilities
  • Provide general support to the NPC with the day-to-day operational coordination and implementation of Counter-trafficking and Labour Migration on-going projects components in accordance to the contractual terms of the projects.
  • Assist in field coordination and technical support to IOM’s external partners on CTLM projects, such as local government and civil society partners at the village and district level.
  • Contribute towards research of emerging human trafficikng trends, such as conducting key informant interviews and data collection in the field.
  • Ensure that all administrative and logistics arrangements for all project activities are carried out efficiently and effectively and that requests for payment due to service providers and local suppliers are accurate and necessary.
  • Ensure meeting minutes and monitoring reports are filed, and that all project files are maintained and kept up-to-date.
  • Undertake in-country duty travel related to project implementation in close supervision and guidance of NPC, as requested.
  • Provide any other clerical assistance (drafting letters of correspondence, etc.) as necessary.
  • Provide translation and interpretation services as required.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
III. Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Political, Social Science, Law, or relevant fields, with at least one year of relevant work experience, or;
  • Completed high school degree from accredited academic institution, with equivalent combination of training and at least three years of relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of, and experience in project implementation and operational.
  • Ability to manage workload within general schedule of work, instructions and standard practices.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Ability to explain and present technical information; and draft written documentations in a clear and concise manner in both languages.
  • Proficient in computer applications: Ms-Office : word, excel and PowerPoint.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.
